All children are entitled to claim 15 hours free funding per week from the term after their child’s 3rd birthday. If you are receiving certain benefits you could be entitled to 2 year old funding. Working families can claim 15 to 30 funded hours per week for their 2 year old depending on their family and work situation.  

A child born in the period	Will become eligible for free sessions
1 April – 31 August	1 September following child’s birthday
1 September – 31 December	1 January following child’s birthday
1 January – 31 March	1 April following child’s birthday
